Marjolein Bartels
Dutch graphic designer and owner of label Groenmblauw buys old and broken furniture at second hand shops in her area and gives them a new look. For her project the artist printed fabric using her endowment winnings an used it to reupholster and cover used household items plus some clothing to match. The artist is conscious of the resources and raw materials needed to produce brand new products and so she works to promote recycling and waste reduction. Furniture from the project will is currently for sale on Esty.
